Program-change to 4 or 5 Baltic islands!
As the competitions Helg utan älg are arranged on the island of Gotland 7-8 Nov, the Höst Ö(st) program has been changed, so we only have one competition on island Åland near Eckerö on Friday 6 Nov. After that ferry-travel Eckerö - Grisslehamn, bus-travel Grisslehamn - Nynäshamn and ferry-travel Nynäshamn - Visby.
The latest change is, that I could not decide which of Ösel or Dagö we should visit. So now there is also a Dagö-competition and still one island more.
4 or 5 Baltic-islands Dagö, Ösel, Åland, Gotland and perhaps Bornholm in 3 or 4 countries are a little special, isn´t it?
And you can travel with 9 different ferries (if you include Gotland) and 11 ferries, if you also start with Bornholm.
If you need help with your Bornholm-organization, please contact christina.olsson@goin.se or wwop@swipnet.se, so you can get information.
Visa.
We need visa for Belarus, you must send one photo (size for passport), visa form application with your personal information and your passport (or passport-copy, if you belong to an EU-contry). The passport must be valid until 90 days after this Belarus visit and have one page free. You get special information about visa application.
Short description about the program.
The bus is leaving Landwetter (east of Gothenburg) on Sunday morning 25 October about 09.00 for travel to Tenhult (15 km SE. of Jönköping) and Smålandskavlen. Höst Öst-legendarerna.
You can be a member of this famous club, if have reached the following goals:
- participated in at least 3 travels during together al least 5 whole weeks.
- shown very good friendship during the Höst Öst-travels.
All participants become automatically very good friends during the Höst Öst-travels, and all travellers have reached that goal.
186 travellers have been Höst Öst-Legendars until now.
You can be a new member together with the annual year meeting of Höst Öst-Legendarerna, this year probably in Riga on Saturday 31st October.
Each member has a member number, printed on the back of the Legendar-shirt. Next new member will get the number 187.
At almost all orienteering-competitions I can see such a beautiful shirt, and it makes me (number 1) still more warm and happy.
Those, who want to be new members of the Höst Öst-Legendars, can inform about their interest and qualifications dates of participation in earlier Höst Öst-travels to Ulla Engelby (member 90), phone +46 44 238523, mobil +46 706 406109, email wwop@swipnet.se, or to the Legendar-president Per Forsgren (number 94), phone +46 8 993715, email per.forsgren@ericsson.com
At each annual Höst Öst-travel the Legendars organize a money-collection to a needy and promising Höst Öst-country (one country pro Höst Öst-travel). Earlier Macedonia, Serbia-Montenegro, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Moldava, Georgia and Romania have been selected.
Per Forsgren (number 94) from Tumba-Mälarhöjden is the 5th Legendar-President since the club started in 1986. The 4 earlier presidents are Stefan Jacobsson (number 2), Stefan Branth (number 30), Ann-Elisabeth Gunnulfsen (number 69) and Johan Thysell (number 59).
Bernt O. Myrvold (number 96) from Sarpsborg in Norway is the Vice President, and Per Magnusson (number 3) from Örnsköldsvik is the Permanent Secretary.
Reseberättelse = Travel documentation.
After the travels a travel-documentation with words, maps and pictures is printed. Jan Dahlgren (number 7) and Claes Göran Green (number 179) are the most responsible for that publication. During the coming 42nd travel you can look at earlier travel-documentations in the library of the bus (-es).
